The Audiovisual Foundation for Arts and Design

The Audiovisual Foundation for Arts and Design (La Fondation Audiovisuelle pour les Arts et le Design), is a foundation of public interest, based in Brussels,  which received the support of  the King Baudouin Foundation.

A quest for meaning and benchmarks

At the dawn of the third millennium in search of meaning and benchmarks, the future seems based on four core values:

 

Education - Legacy  -   Openness  -  Sharing

 

Art, design and architecture convey these values and contribute, therefore, to develop a more positive and creative world.

​

Our Goal : Allow access to Art

• Promoting the visual arts (painting, sculpture, drawing, comic's, photography, video art, digital art and more generally all forms of artistic expression that produces objects essentially perceived by the eye), applied arts, decorative arts , design, and architecture,

 

•Allowing the greatest number of people to have access to art and culture through the use of multimedia technologies and the creation of its own media channel (TV, web, mobile ...) independent and international, dedicated to art and culture and based on the values of education, transmission, openness and knowledge sharing,

 

• Establish an international  memory bank of audiovisual cultural programs around the visual arts, applied arts, decorative arts, design and architecture for future generations.

La sculpture, un mystère qui “le titille” comme le dit Marc Petit, depuis ses 14 ans ! Il nous invite à pénétrer au cœur de ce mystère, préservé et exigeant, là où la matière prend vie, nous confiant avec sincérité ce qui anime cette quête sans fin. De l’atelier, lieu incontournable de toutes ses gestations au château des Rohan, à Savernes, où il a réalisé une grande exposition, une balade poétique , “Au cœur de l’insondable”

Le geste large, puissant, il donne de l’air… Du réel et de la précision du trait, du sérieux qui pourrait devenir académique, il s’échappe, comme par surprise, résolument libre de ses pirouettes, donnant de l’espace à nos imaginaires. Il n’est pas l’homme des cases, ni d’un courant artistique. Le définir c’est déjà l’avoir perdu, il est ailleurs, loin de ses zones de confort, il caracole, s’affranchit des codes qu’il détourne…

Là où la plaine s’étire sans fin. Là où le regard n’est arrêté par rien, où rien ne le distrait, Jean Anguera nous entraîne dans cet espace intégral, où l’horizon est forcément lointain, le Gatinais. Son ancrage dans ce territoire à 360°, qu’il arpente en toute saison lors de grandes balades dans ces lieux solitaires, nourrit son imaginaire et est devenu essentiel à sa création. Hors Paris, loin de ses fonctions d’académicien, il nous ouvre les portes de ses ateliers, où il sculpte et dessine. »

"On pourrait croire que tous les bitumes du monde se ressemblent, et pourtant d’une ville à l’autre, les grilles d’arbres, les plaques d’égouts sont des signes distinctifs tel un tatouage sur la peau qui révèle l’identité de la ville, voire son histoire. J’aurais moulé les mots, Eau,Gaz, Électricité, dans toutes les langues du monde"
